The Secret Inside Sarah

A Grandma Burns Her Bag To Expose A Secret Evil

Sarah took two quick steps backward toward the patio fire table.

She kept both hands clamped firmly over the zipper of her purse.

Mark took a step closer to his wife with a frown on his face.

Mark: Sarah, why are you acting so guilty right now?

Sarah: I am not acting guilty, Mark, I am defending myself!

Mark: Then open the bag and prove my mother is completely wrong.

Sarah: I do not have to prove anything to an old woman!

Little Lily wiped her wet eyes and looked up at her father.

Lily: Daddy, why is stepmother Sarah shouting at Grandma?

Mark: Go inside the house with your aunt right now, Lily.

The sister led the little girl away into the quiet house kitchen.

Only the adults remained outside on the hardwood stone patio.

Evelyn stood directly between Sarah and the glass patio doors.

Evelyn: You thought you were so clever when you went upstairs.

Sarah: I do not know what you are talking about, old lady!

Evelyn: You stole the trust fund paper and the house mortgage deed.

Mark gasped loudly as he looked from his mother to his wife.

Mark: Sarah, did you go into my mother's private room today?

Sarah: She is lying, Mark! She wants to ruin our marriage!

Evelyn: I saw you slip the white envelope into your leather bag.

Sarah: You have no proof of anything you are saying!

Sarah set the heavy designer bag down on the stone fire table ledge.

She intended to pick it up and run into her luxury sports car.

She wanted to destroy the legal documents in private later tonight.

If the trust fund was gone, she could force Mark to sign a new will.

She wanted total control over the millions in the family estate.

Evelyn saw the evil intention shining bright in Sarah's eyes.

She knew that legal battles in court would take many long years.

She needed to resolve this dangerous situation right here and now.

Evelyn stepped right up to the edge of the burning fire table.

The bright yellow fire licked at the dark wood logs in the center.

Sarah reached out her hand to grab the strap of her purse again.

Evelyn: Do not touch that bag, Sarah.

Sarah: Get out of my way before I push you down!

Mark: Sarah! Do not talk to my mother like that!

Evelyn reached out with quick, firm hands toward the leather bag.
